Servant Leader R. J. LOUIS FELTON a dynamic orator of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, was appointed Senior Pastor of The Mount Airy Church of God in Christ in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2010.
At the time of his appointment the church had over 4,000 members. Under the leadership of the energizing force of Servant Leader Felton over 2,000 more souls have committed themselves to the Lord.
Dr Felton has initiated prayer conference calls on Thursdays at 5 and 5:30am; hosts a live radio broadcast of the 10:45a.m. service on WNAP Gospel Highway 11, and is seen on The Word Network every Sunday at 5:00am, EST.
With the Lord's blessing, Charles E. Blake, Sr., Presiding Bishop of the International Church of God in Christ, appointed Servant Leader Felton to the position of the Director of Men's Ministry & Homiletics of the International Sunday School Department of the National Church of God in Christ.
In addition to his role as Pastor, Dr. Felton also functions as Chairman of Finance of the Koinonia Pennsylvania Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction and Superintendent of the Phileo District which is a part of the Jurisdiction.
Servant Leader has served on many civic, community and corporate boards and has received numerous awards for his work in those arenas . He is presently serving as First Vice-President of the Philadelphia Branch of the N.A.A.C.P. and as Third Vice-President of the Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity. Dr. Felton has been afforded the opportunity to tour this nation and countries around the world with his preaching ministry.
Dr. Felton is an alumnus of Western Michigan University and attended McCormick Theological Seminary, Western Theological Seminary and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. He received an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian College in April of 2004.
He is married to First Lady Evangelist Priscilla E. Felton who works diligently beside him in the church and community. They are the blessed parents of two children and five grandchildren.
Servant Leader Felton is an astute advocate of Servant Leadership and is advancing the intersection between serving and leading.
