SENIOR PASTOR, DR. J. LOUIS FELTON, a devoted Servant Leader, has served over half a century teaching and preaching the Word of God. 

From 1991 until 2010 he served as Senior Pastor of The Galilee Baptist Church of Kalamazoo, Michigan, where a new facility was successfully constructed and completed in December, 2004, The facility, valued at over $5,000,000, owns all 4 corners of the intersection where the congregation worships.

While at Galilee, Dr. Felton served as President of the North Side Ministerial Alliance, where he was instrumental in obtaining a $180,000 grant from ELCA for the founding of ERRACE (Eradicating Racism and Claiming/Celebrating Equality); also the recipient of a $3 million dollar grant from the Compassion Capital Fund of the Faith Based Initiative of the Federal Government in 2004-2006.  Dr. Felton is also the co-founder of ISAAC (Interfaith Strategy for Advocacy and Action in the Community).

In 2010 Dr. Felton accepted the Servant Leadership of Mount Airy Church of God in Christ, from the founder, Bishop Ernest C. Morris, Sr., Jurisdictional Prelate, Pennsylvania Koinonia Jurisdiction of the Church of God in Christ, International.  Under the Servant Leadership of Dr. Felton, over 2,000 souls have been received in the Kingdom.  Dr. Felton has led the congregation to invest over $1,000,000 in capital improvements and ministry development. 

In May 2017 Dr. Felton and the Mt. Airy Church successfully hosted the National Men Perfecting Men Conference. In 2016, the church celebrated its Golden Jubliee.  During that year, a Pictorial Membership Directory was published, and “The Trumpet of Jubilee” newsletter made its debut.

In addition to weekday (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) morning radio broadcast at 9:15am on WTMR 800am; services are also broadcast every Thursday at 12:30am EST, on The Word Network and live-streamed each Sunday at 11am on WNAP 1110AM – Gospel Highway 11.  Pastor Felton leads a Prayer Line at 5:00am and 5:30am. every Thursday.

Pastor Felton serves on on the Board of the Philadelphia NAACP as First Vice-President and Chair of the Religious Affairs Committee; and as the Second Vice President of the Black Clergy of Philadelphia and Vicinity.   He was one of the speaker at the reknown Hampton Minister’s Conference in June of 2013 and the Keynote Speaker for the 105th International Holy Convocation of the Church of God in Christ on November 12, 2012, for the Episcopal Consecration of Bishops and Communion Service.

In July of 2013, at the National Auxiliaries In Ministry Convention, Dr. Felton was appointed Director of Men’s Ministry & Homiletics for the Int’l Sunday School Department of the Church of God in Christ.

Dr Felton, an alumnus of Western Michigan University, attended McCormick Theological Seminary, Western Theological Seminary and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary, receiving an Honorary doctorate of Divinity from the St. Thomas Christian College in April of 2004.

Dr. Felton is married to First Lady, Evangelist Priscilla E. Felton who also works diligently in the church and community  They are the blessed parents of two children and five grandchildren.
