June 2003, at the church’s 37th Anniversary, Mount Airy Church of God In Christ had grown to a landmark church numbering more than three-thousand persons, with an uniquely tax-reaching ministry.

The roster of working auxiliaries and ministries numbers more than seventy, and includes such visionary ministries as the following:

The ministry continue with the Stenton Manor, a full family shelter which houses and provides counseling and skill training for more than two hundred fifty (250) abused and displaced women and children, the church served more than two hundred seventy (270) welfare to work women.

Bishop Morris completed the construction of a magnificent three-thousand (3000) seat sanctuary on a 4 ½ acre site and a 36,000 ministry building, housing executive offices, chapel and approximately 35 classrooms, dining and assembly halls, we are now beginning phase 3 construction on a gymnasium as a hub for the sport’s centered activities of the community.

Bishop Morris serves on the steering committee and is one of the founding members of Project Nehemiah, and the Philadelphia Interfaith Action Committee. To date this group has been responsible for building hundreds of houses in the inner city, as well as providing job-training programs for youth and adults.

From its inception, Mount Airy Church of God in Christ under the spiritual and dynamic leadership of this God-gifted Pastor has been called a, “Miracle Church”. Moving from location to location, outgrowing, moving, building, burning mortgage after mortgage, in record-breaking time. Bishop Morris has expanded and remodeled site after site without incurring loans, while at the same time expanding ministries to include full and part-time staff of one hundred (100), and an annual budget in excess of ($5,000,000.00) marking Mt.
